SALKA means undomesticated energy—the sacred force that flows through all living things.
At SALKA STUDIOS we channel this force into storytelling.
We are a Madrid-based studio producing films that cross borders of genre and geography—short films, animated works, documentaries and features. Our projects explore the fragile and radiant dimensions of the human condition with a commitment to emotional truth and aesthetic courage.
We also host creative labs and artistic residencies in: Madrid, Recife, Lisbon and New Orleans, as well as, two very special rural areas in Bolivia—Tarija and Lake Titicaca.
These are energising, creative spaces for reflection, collaboration and artistic transformation.

Salka supports artists and filmmakers working at the intersection of story, memory and social transformation. Our residencies are offered in six locations across Europe and Latin America. Each location provides space, mentorship and time for work.
